New Delhi, 12th June, 2018 : The Naukri JobSpeak Index for May 2018 at 2,106, marked an 11% increase in hiring activity from May 2017 (1,904). The Auto, Construction and Engineering sectors led with a steady pace of hiring in May 2018. The Telecom and FMCG industries regained hiring momentum, showing significant increases in hiring activity. This positive hiring sentiment was seen across key cities, with double digit growth in hiring registered for Delhi/NCR (15%) and Mumbai (14%). Non-Metro cities also saw significant growth in job opportunities. OVERALL JOB INDEX Total no. of new jobs posted in July 2008 was scaled to 1000. Index for subsequent months is relative to Jul 08. The  Jagadharti Puja  was first started by  Maharaja Krishnachandra  of  Krishnanagar, Nadia  in Bengal. Jagadhatri Puja is very popular in Krishnanagar,  Rishra ,  Chandannagar ,  Bhadreswar, Hooghly ,  Boinchi . In Krishnanagar, Nadia, "Raj Rajeshwary"Jagadhatri Puja is one of the oldest Jagadhatri Puja in Bengal. Legend has it that once during the British Raj in India  Maharaja Krishnachandra  was arrested by British Investigation Agency for going against British Empire and getting involved in Swadeshi activities.

Chhath  is an ancient  Hindu   Vedic   festival  historically native to the  Indian subcontinent , more specifically, the  Indian states  of  Bihar ,  Jharkhand ,  Odisha ,  Uttar Pradesh  and  West Bengal  as well as the Madhesh region of  Nepal . The Chhath  Puja  is dedicated to the  Sun  and his wives  Usha  and Sangya or Sandhya in order to thank them for bestowing the bounties of life on earth and to request the granting of certain wishes. Chhath does not involve any  idol worship .  This festival is observed by  Nepalese  and  Indian people , along with their diaspora.  While it is a Hindu festival, some Muslims also celebrate Chhath.
